Starring : Parthiban, Ranjith, "Thalaivasal" Vijay, Divya Unni

    Music : Deva

    Director : Subhash

Story : The movie starts with the suicide of the Heroine Divya. Parthiban, blind man doubts the issue as a murder. Ranjith is his best friend and X-lover of Divya. The evidences got by the police shows Ranjith as murderer and the police arrests him. But the evidences were only made by Parthiban who is acting as a blind. Ranjith tries to prove that he is the murderer and he is not blind. Who is the murderer and why Parthiban plays against his best friend is the movie.

The Movie Starts like a Thriller movie and moves into the loving sequence of Parthiban & Divya. Divya is in certain costumes looking cute and given more important for her glamour. Parthiban as usual. Makes his fans to applause by his "Nakkals" and timing comments. Ranjith one of the best actor yet to be identified by the tamil fans. Excellent performance by him on this movie too. "Thalaivasal" Vijay and another inspector with him play the role of comedy well.
Deva had done a good thing for Smokers. Even Parthiban plays well with dialogues, he finds very difficult on songs and sentiments. Unnecessary Fight makes viewers irritating. Director fails to establish the relationship with Ranjith & Divya.
Plus : Dialogues, Parthiban
Minus : Music, Screenplay
Manpasand scene : Ranjith asks the truth from Parthiban on pistol point and records the voice. But after recording only Ranjith's voice get recorded and not of Parthiban. At that time Parthiban takes out the remote and shows to him

Starring : Prabhu, Vivek, Manivannan, Karan, "Nizhagal" Ravi, Ramya Krishnan, Mumtaj, "Kovai" Sarala ...

    Music : S.A. RajKumar

    Director : T.P. Gajendran

Story : A movie for Entertainment. No worry about the story. Just laugh and enjoy.

The main plus point of the movie is Vivek. His comedy with Manivanna makes the movie well. Prabhu, it is better for Tamil fans, if he make a stop to his hero acting. His body is not supporting for that. Ramya do well with her character. Another interesting with the movie is Mumtaj even it is over glamour. Manivannan is also doing well on his role. Kovai Sarala replaces Manorama Aachi's place in Tamil Industry. Good performance. "Pakkava", "Kathu aadikuthu" are the two better songs from S.A. Rajkumar.
Without worryig about the story, the director more relied on comedy. Suspense about Mumtaj with Karan is not necessary. It's Tamil films rule to end the movie with fight.
Plus : Vivek, Mumtaj
Minus : Prabhu's weight, story
Manpasand scene : Viveks comedy as a Nambothari with Mumtaj

Starring : Prasanth, Raghuvaran, Vinu Chakkaravarthy, Thamu, Vayapuri, Charlie, Simran, Laila, Fathima Babu ...

    Music : Bhardwaj

    Director : Charan

Story : Prasanth, the Hero is staying as a tenant in Raghuvaran's house. Simran is the sister of Raghuvaran. But she hates his brother because he is born to her father illegally. Prasanth accidentally meets Laila and falls in Love with Laila. He discusses with Simran who moves with him very friendly. She gives some ideas to express his love to Laila. In the mean-time Prasanth's sick mother arranges for his marriage with Laila. But, like in all the tamil movies both of them don't know about this. So they avoid the Betrothal and this makes problem between the families. Raghuvaran misunderstands Prasanth and Simran Friendship as love and asks Prasanth's Parents for the marriage. Prasanth and Simran accept for the marriage for the sake of Prasanth mother's health. Afterwards Prasanth expresses his love with Laila. Prasanth's mother gets well and the situation becomes serious Prasanth wants to tell the truth. Now Simran turns anti and reveals that she actually loved Prasanth. Rest of the scenes moves Simran as anti-heroine.
Charan, the film maker from Balachandar room proves his third excellency after Kadhal mannan & Amarkalam. Simran did well with her performance too. Prasanth still need some maturity with his acting. Laila Azhagiya Laila. Cute & good with her performance. Raghuvaran nothing to say. It's a matter only when he fails. As usual he lives with his character. Music too good for the movie. Thamu , Charlie & Vayapuri running a good track with the comedy.
The Director brings the important turning only at the last moment of the movie. The fans were expectating what is to be next. But the director simply finished the movie with a single scene & an unnecessary fight on the climax.
Plus : Screenplay
Minus : Unavoidable remembering certain scenes with someother movies
Manpasand scene : After Simran expressing Love with Prasanth & next day morning meets Prasanth & insist more on her love.

Starring : Karthick, Manivanan, Thiyagu, Gousalya, Manthra, Anju ...

    Music : S.A. Rajkumar

    Director : Rama. Narayanan

Story : Manivannan, a useless father with two wife and seven children including Karthick one among and most others girls. So, Karthick is fully take care of the family pardons and sacrificing everything for his family throughout the film. Finally with a fight, Manivannan comes to the good & felt happy with the family (and we too)
Gausalya & Manthra are the two heroines. Both of them are meeting in some place and talking and alternatively going for a dream song. Finally Manthra sacrificies her love. The only solicitated thing with the movie is Manivannan's comedy along with this last young son.
There is no compulsion for S.A.RajKumar to do well with the music for this movie. Just he copied the tunes from his own older movies. But that are also not good. Rama.Narayanan instead of going with the counts on movies, he should try to direct a movie. So tamil fans will feel happy.
Plus : CBI Enquiry is Going On
Minus : Whole Film
Manpasand scene : Climax (Vanakkam Card)
Result : * ****

Starring : Sharath Kumar, Prabhu Deva, Vivek, Thamu, Mouli, Jeyasheel, Kaveri, Iswarya ...

    Music : S.A. Rajkumar

    Director : Ezhil

Story : It's a story of affection between two brothers and love between a girl & the younger Brother.
The second film from the maker of Super-hit film "Thullatha Manamum Thullum" is not that much impressive. Songs are good on visuals but not for the ears. Vivek's comedy track almost moves the first half. Jeyasheel is good in acting & beautiful. Thanks to the Director for not exposing more glamour in the movie. Song "Kannukkule ..." is the only one melody from S.A. Rajkumar
Sharat has not been fully utilsed & Prabhudeva character is not defined clearly. The much awaited dance of Prabhudeva with his brother Raju Sundaram is not upto expectation.
Plus : Vivek's Comedy
Minus : Rest
Manpasand scene : Expressing Love by Prabhudeva to Jeyasheel
Result : ** ***

Starring : Murali, Parthipan, Vadivelu, Vijaya Kumar, Meena, Malavika, Manorama ...

    Music : Deva

    Director : Cheran

Story : Parthiban & Murali are deceited by a Fake Foreign Recruiting Agency. How they come up in life in the motherland itself is the story.

While most of the young Directors roll over the Love, Cheran again has touched a social issue. For that, first we give a great applause for him. Dialogues are very impressive. For example, Commissioner Rajiv words with the deceited people. He has shown the culture & colloquial language of different places in a realistic way. Parthipan & Vadivelu combination is striking again. Deva once again failed to score except the song "Karuppu ..". Each & Every actor has lived with their chars.
But there is some slackiness in some scenes and also too sentimental. Cheran is so brave to keep the sentiments from the first frame itself. The director has compromised in the second half by having more cinematic scenes. Meena is still cute & good in performance. Malavika ... nothing to say.Charlie character is really a remarkable one.
Plus : Story & Dialogue
Minus : Second Half
Manpasand scene : The scene where Charlie acts as a mental to hide the truth from Manorama.
